CH Powell, a privately owned freight forwarding company is founded in Boston, MA

CH Powell opens branch offices in Liverpool, England and New York City

CH Powell manages shipping and storage of British wool during the World War II Lend-Lease Program, part of our long-standing partnership with the U.S. government and agencies

CH Powell Company becomes principal owner of Intercontinental Air Freight, Inc., the first freight forwarder and customs broker located at Boston’s Logan International Airport

Expansion into the Southeast, with offices in Charleston, Greer, SC, and Baltimore, following the shipping needs of a migrating textile machinery industry

CH Powell receives the President’s “E” Award for excellence in Export Service from the Secretary of Commerce

Westward expansion in Chicago, St. Louis, New Orleans, Seattle and Los Angeles

Acquisition of Damco Maritime USA NVOCC operations from the Royal Nedlloyd Group

CH Powell is the first customs broker to qualify for electronic reporting of export data through a private system

CH Powell becomes a certified member of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT)

Tandem Global Logistics is established as a worldwide transportation network with CH Powell as Co-Founder, Brand owner, and Equity partner

CH Powell transacts a series of freight forwarder acquisitions in the Northeast and Gulf markets
