ILA warns of potential strike in 2024

Harold Daggett, president of the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) that represents over 70,000 dockworkers, principally on the US East and Gulf coasts, has warned of a potential strike in October 2024 if a new contract is not reached. Daggett pledged that the current contract would not be extended beyond September.
