POLA Terminals Shut Down After Lithium-Ion Battery Incident

Several terminals at the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) were closed after a fire broke out from an overturned tractor-trailer carrying lithium-ion batteries. The incident coincides with the port reporting strong August volumes, marking a 16% annual increase and the highest non-pandemic month in its history.
