The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is requesting public comments on a proposed rule to amend regulations for the entry of low-value shipments under $800. The new proposal introduces a revised entry process to improve the targeting of high-risk shipments and suggests additional data requirements to verify eligibility for duty- and tax-free entry.
Comments on the proposal must be submitted by March 17, 2025.
