The European Commission has implemented definitive countervailing (CV) duties on battery electric vehicles (BEVs) imported from China for a period of five years, citing unfair subsidies within the Chinese BEV value chain that pose an economic threat to EU producers. The duties will vary between 7.8% and 35.3%.
