EU Imposes Higher Tariffs on Chinese EVs

Starting July 4, the European Union (EU) will impose tariffs of up to 38.1% on Chinese electric vehicles, in addition to the existing 10% duties, in response to concerns over unfair subsidies and to support fairness for EU manufacturers. Similarly, Turkey has announced a 40% tariff on Chinese vehicle imports, effective from July 7, 2024.
