The Port of Montreal Longshoremen’s Union (CUPE 375) and the Maritime Employers Association have begun a 90-day mediation period to resolve their contract dispute and avoid government-imposed arbitration. According to Maersk, cargo movements at the Port of Montreal have largely returned to normal.
