New tariffs on steel and aluminum imports

President Biden issued two proclamations to prevent the transshipment of steel and aluminum through Mexico. Section 232 tariffs of 25% will be applied to steel from Mexico if it is melted and poured outside the U.S., Canada, or Mexico. Aluminum imports from Mexico will face tariffs of 10% if sourced from China, Belarus, or Iran, and 200% if sourced from Russia.
