USDA Ends Temporary Filing Codes for Organic Imports

Starting September 19, 2024, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP) will no longer accept temporary filing codes for organic imports without an import certificate. Shipments without a valid NOP Import Certificate (NOP-IC) must either be reclassified as non-organic or be reexported.
